EcoPorts
  • Is the main environmental initiative of the European port sector
  • Is developed in 1997 by European ports for ports and port terminals
  • Delivers tools for ports and port terminals to build their own environmental management system based on the EcoPorts PERS guidelines and global standards
  • Is related with the ISO 14001 systematics
EcoPorts organisations
  • The European Seaports Organisation, ESPO, acts as contact organization for member ports in Europe
  • The neutral, independent and non profit ECO Sustainable Logistics Chain Foundation, ECOSLC, acts as contact organisation for ports outside Europe and for port terminals worldwide

ECOSLC Foundation congratulates Consorcio de gestión del Puerto de Bahía Blanca, Argentina, on achieving ECOPORTS PERS Certification in September 2023 for the first time after validation by the independent auditor Lloyd’s Register, LRQA, Netherlands. Consorcio de gestión del Puerto de Bahía Blanca is the first port in Argentina to obtain this certificate.
